Fashion Show’s Laura Thinks Kelly Rowland Is Part of A Trend
May 20, 2009 by Maria Diaz
Laura Dawson was the last person to be let go from The Fashion Show for her hideous red tulle dress. She’s been doing the usual post-elimination reality blog rounds and of course, complaining about how the show’s editing made her look bad. She even goes so far to say that her team didn’t really argue with her not to use the tulle, even though that’s what we saw on the show. When asked to comment on the choice of Kelly Rowland, Laura chalks it up African Americans currently being trendy.
“I feel like it’s probably largely due to that Vogue photoshoot with the 12 or 13 black models last year. It’s sort of been in vogue to have African American, or just African models or spokespeople or celebrities, which is a positive trend. I feel like that decision might have gone along with that.”
Don’t feel too bad for Laura’s elimination. In another interview she with Reality Wanted, she said she moved her studio across the pond to London, has opened up new stores and is getting ready for her Spring 2010 line.
