Hair Majesty Tabatha is Taking Over!

by Victoria on August 10th, 2008

tabatha coffeyIf you haven’t heard the news (because you’ve been living under a rock, like myself), then let me be the first: Tabatha’s Salon Takeover. is Bravo TV’s newest series set to hit the airwaves August 21st @10/9C.

According to Bravo, “Tabatha’s Takeover will follow Coffey, the charismatic former Shear Genius contestant and Australian native, as she visits struggling salons in the Los Angeles and New York areas and literally takes over the establishments to whip them into shape.” Hmmm… interesting choice of words… I can see Tabatha with a whip, or two… kind of freaks me out and makes me want to start putting crucifixes on all the doors and windows.

Anyway… Apparently Tabatha Coffey “brings her no-nonsense approach to the salon owners and stylists, all teetering on the verge of collapse and in dire need of her skilled business direction. With just a week to work her magic, can she put these salons back on their feet or is it time for the shops to put up the closed sign for good?”

I don’t know… does this sound entertaining to you?

Tabatha, you were thr only one i could relate to from the beginning, i have been a hairdresser for 30 years and still edgy and great at what i do. m y mentors were two brilliant englishmen whom i hope you know of them, phillip wilson and johnBertorelli, i too travled all over us canada and brazil as tr
ainer to train trainrs and to assist salons when weak spots occur. i now have a very different and beautiful salon in carmel, calif and i have taken all the good that i have learned and erased the bad. i am still in a struggle and could use afew words or many, depending if you could find time for me and my passion and dream. i think v ery highly of you and would appreciate any help you might be able to throw my way, i do want to continue with my venture andyou might be the best vehicle to do so. please let me know if we could do something, passinate and snicerely

    dear tabatha,

my name is michelle. im still in beauty school and should be grad. in dec. yay!!! but i dont feel im ready to go out and get a job in a salon because, i dont feel like ive had the right trainning. i go to hair professionals in a really really small town. i just feel that as a student the school is not giving me the education i payed for. i feel that its not very professional and that they are not teaching us the proper way to give a client consultation, how to talk to the clients, how to up service , how i can be the best stylist i can be. i have been watching your shows ans taking much in as i can learning from what you are telling and showing these other stylist.

    dear tabatha,
My Name is Anna DiNezza, i am a cosmo 2 student and still in highschool. My mom owns a few hair salons and has owned them going back 20 years. She is still suck in the ‘80! not by he own style but in the salons. She doesnt know how to change them and how to make her employees act more professtional. My mother Jane is truely hard working but doesnt know that changeing the salon around would bring in a ton more buisness. Please concider taking over my mothers salon. thank you so much for your time.
