Introducing BravoFan Reader Fridays

July 10, 2009 by Maria Diaz

I’m going to take a break from being jealous of Gretchen (KIDDING!) and introduce a new feature to BravoFan. I’m calling it “Reader Fridays” and the way it works is, every Friday I will interview a new, fabulous BravoFan reader. If you’d like to be included, please email me at maria.diaz@b5media.com.

To kick things off, here’s my interview with loyal BravoFan Twitter friend, Tami:

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I like drama on tv even though I have enough of it in my life. Im just living my life trying to have fun and be successful at the same time. I live in DC but am relocating back home to Memphis. We’ll see how that goes. My hobbies, well the internet lol, event planning, reading, sudoku, hidato, and painting.tami_sawyer.jpg

2. What is your favorite all time Bravo show?
Can I just say that The Fashion Show is my least favorite? The gray lighting, the shoulder pads, Rico’s teeth?

But my favorite is Top Chef: Miami. I’ve loved every Top Chef, but Miami was hands down my favorite. Maybe it was because Tre’ is so beautiful. I think they came up with really innovative recipes. Food, I wanted to pick off of the screen. I’ve never been so upset at an elimination as I was in Restaurant Wars that season, when Tre’ was thrown under the bus. CJ won the elimination challenge and picked the team. I sincerely believed that he should have been eliminated because he showed supreme cowardess in making Tre’ the head chef. Who gets to pick the Restaurant Wars teams and ends up as front of house? Seriously???? OK. I’m done. Top Chef Miami = My favorite.

3. If you could plan a fabulous dinner and only invite 2 housewives from any franchise, who would it be and what would you serve?
My two favorite housewives are Dina and Le’Countess. But I don’t think they’d mix. That would be a very awkward dinner. So even though I love Luann, I would not choose her. I’d save her for a night of Pomtinis. And I really only love Dina’s hair, so I don’t think we’d have much to talk about. For the type of dinner parties, I enjoy, I’d invite NeNe and Vicky. I’d serve lots of liquor. Then I’d pull out my top chef apron and serve Tre’’s Shrimp & Grits for an appetizer, followed by Howie’s braised pork and apple sauce with a side of gnoochi, complete with some skinny girl Oatmeal Cookies.

4. Andy Cohen calls, and he wants to give you a time slot for your own show. What is your show going to be about?
ME! It would be called The District and would follow my friends and I as we party our way through DC. DC is about to be highlighted on Real World & Real Housewives, and it kinda makes me sad, because it won’t be the DC I know.

The other show suggestion would be how a DC party girl transitions to the slower paced life of Memphis. My love fiascos. My relationship with my parents. My friends.

5. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Welcome to the Afterparty.
