Jackie Warner Coming Back To Bravo

October 14, 2009 by Maria Diaz

jackiewarnerworkoutYou may remember the show “Work Out,” a Bravo reality show that followed the life of super trainer and high-end gym owner Jackie Warner. It looks like that show may be done, because Bravo just sent out a press release, with details on a new Jackie show in development.

It has the cringe-inducing name of “Thintervention” and will follow Jackie as she helps a bunch of overweight people lose weight. It’s not a “Biggest Loser” kind of show, where the dieters have to live in a house, but it appears that it follows the “Intervention” (of A & E) model of following one person each episode. Jackie has them do a “grueling workout,” a therapy session and then teaches them “life lessons.”

There’s something so satisfying about watching Jackie and her drama-riffic relationships on “Work Out,” so I’m super curious if this will translate to a self-help kind of show.

What do you think? Are you excited for Jackie to come back?

You think I’d like this show. Girl power and all. And I like Jackie as a personality.

But all I can remember is how she made that fat woman vomit and turn purple in one of her workouts. That seemed a bit overkill to me.

I just don’t enjoy all these shows that have the premise that if you don’t look like Jackie Warner, you’re a loser and need help. Don’t think I’ll be watching.

    (That’s a lie. You know I’ll watch. ;)

I’m shocked they’re giving Jackie another show. She showed so much unethical borderline sociopathic behavior in her old show, not to mention insulting a cancer client, that there was a petition to end the show. She was an unprofesional boss, sleeping with staff and clients, then treating them poorly when the relationship ended.

She had no knowledge of how to train her overweight clients, working them to past exhaustion and calling legitimate medical conditions they had ‘excuses’.

She was a nightmare! NOT fun to watch. Bravo rethink this!

  3. RJay says:

Jackie Warner is horrible. I can’t believe they gave her another show, especially after getting sponsor-drop last time.

No, not excited and will not be watching.

  4. Maria Diaz says:

i have to admit, i totally forgot about the sponsor-drop at the end of last season. will have to write a post about it!

  5. Anica says:

Seriously….this show was mainly about Jackies sex life. And she was nothing but unprofessional with her staff! Talk about a nut case too. I agree that she seemed to have no clue as to how to help an extremely overweight person exercise properly and appropriately. Although I also remember that particular overweight woman being quite an unmotivated, complaining, whiner.

  6. Michael C says:

Oh, great. More of the female Jeff Lewis. Why can’t Bravo have more nice gay people like Tim Gunn on the network rather than these mentally ill embarrassments?

  7. mzchristine says:

Will she be bombarding a person while they are innocently trying to buy their KFC? And while she’s intervening an ex-employee shows up embarrassing her because she never called them back? If not, then I don’t want to hear it!

Also thintervention is a horrible title. Thin does not = healthy.

  8. Jeff is GREAT!!! says:

Michael C, REALLY???? Why are you so damn obsessed with Jeff Lewis? You hate the man, why in the hell does everything you type have to be about him? Grow up, move on, and forget your man crush (I am sure you aren’t even close to Jeff’s type)!!!!! Deuces

  9. jaime says:

Why? She is a disgrace to the gay community. That’s all. No one ever actually thought she was a legitimate trainer. Snore. Word is that this is just a rip off of a show JIllian Michaels will be doing.

  10. Michael C. says:

Jeff is GREAT!!!! is Kel… who has probably been Jeff himself as I find it hard to believe that anyone is mentally ill enough to fall in love with Jeff Lewis and find his behavior “great”… except Jeff Lewis himself.

Has Jeff contacted you to to say he shares your love, dear? Yeah, thought not. hehe.

  11. kel says:

@Michael C.- No, I’m kel, mentally ill as I am (?) And how in the heck did I get brought into this? LOL!!! Just stopping by, never heard of Jackie Warner…thought I would check it out. What do you know Michael C. is on a Jeff rant, again!!! WRONG show, wrong page dude!!! LOL
Again, someone get this man some Prozac, STAT
    cuckoo…

  12. kel says:

BTW since I have no clue what or who this show is about, just to get my .02 cents in, I agree with whatever Anica said!! :)

  13. Anica says:

Tee Hee kel….mmk that was a funny one! ;)

  14. Nancy (subscribed) says:

Forget Jackie….I want to see Michael and Jeff and all their frenemies on a show together!
