Major Catfight Over “Project Runway”

November 22, 2008 by Maria Diaz

The fight over Project Runway just keeps going and going. The New York Times reports that Lifetime, who was going to start showing the new season in December has now decided to sue the show’s producers, Weinstein Company, Bravo, and NBC Universal (Bravo’s parent company).

As if that wasn’t confusing enough, remember that NBC also sued the Weinstein Company claiming they had the rights to the show. And to make things even juicier, the Weinstein Company sued Bravo.

What this all means for Runway fans is that we may have to get our Tim Gunn fix via his other Bravo show, Tim Gunn’s Guide To Style , which is a great show, but no Runway. I kind of think we should send Tim Gunn into the offices of all these suits and command them to please make it work.
