“Project Runway” finalists will present at Fashion Week Without Their Names
February 19, 2009 by Maria Diaz
The Project Runway debacle just continues to get stranger. As we reported before, Project Runway Season 6 finalists will show this Friday; getting to show at New York fashion week is one of the rewards of making it through the season and the producers won’t be taking that away from them (at least they have that).
However, to prevent spoilers from leaking out of the tents and onto the blogs, the designers themselves will not be appearing with their collection at the end of the show. Instead, it’ll be a collection of fashion with no name.
Tim Gunn tells New York magazine:
You’ll see the whole construct of it, but needless to say, the designers whose collections are presented will not be presenting their collections THEMSELVES, because then everyone would know who they are.

Well, this is what we get with mixing “reality” with narrative. You cannot keep a secret with reality, and you need secrets for narrative. So there you have it — we all want our cake and eat it, too! BTW, my husband and kids just saw Michael Kors at Joe Juniors on Sixth Avenue.
Abby, agreed! How the top chef people are able to keep it under wraps.. I will never know!
Love Michael Kors! Thanks for the comment
