Real Housewives of Washington, D.C Cast Member Crashes President Obama’s State Dinner

Now that the holiday is done, I can get back to the second thing I do best (besides eating), and that is: gossip. Many of you sent me the link to this incredible story of Michaele Salahi, future “potential” cast member of Real Housewives of Washington, D.C., crashing President Obama’s super VIP state dinner with her husband (pictured right) and just strolling in like she owned the joint. Forget foreclosures, naked pictures and married boyfriends: this shit just got REAL.
And, even better, a Bravo camera crew went with them (they weren’t allowed inside) to potentially document the couple hob-nobbing with actual elite members of society. To think, they would’ve gotten away with it all, had she not been so gauche as to post it on her Facebook page, where she actually claimed to have been invited. Sure, in a crowd of heads of state, accomplished politicians, and real members of the entertainment industry, I’m sure the Obama administration remembered to add the names of some winery owners who were filming a reality show!
Anyway, getting past Secret Service is no joke and the New York Times reports that an investigation is under way about how these two fools got in. This is serious business, especially with the high level of death threats President Obama receives; to think these two famewhores made it in is scary. They also report that Half Yard Productions, who is producing Real Housewives of Washington, D.C. for Bravo, were under the impression that the Salahis were on the list. So, these two were fooling damn near everybody.
This is no surprise at all to me; a few months ago, I posted about some of the rumored D.C. housewives and I received a few negative comments about the Salahis; how they are not the real proprietors of Oasis Winery, and claiming that Michaele has lied about her past as a model. So, this kind of shadiness is not a shock.
Next up: the Salahis will be on Larry King Live on Monday night to explain themselves. I will totally be watching.

Dear Bravo:
Pease please please… for the Love of God, find another rich wreck of a married D.C. “housewife” to replace Michaele Salahi on your t.v. show. I know you are only trying to entertain and make money, but it would be absolutely unconscionable for any industry (besides possibly the psychiatric industry) to help this woman achieve a single iota of relief from her desperation in life.
If this woman/this couple make it onto a Bravo show I will not watch the network ever again in any capacity and I encourage everyone else to do the same. The Salahis’ behavior was dangerous and reckless and if Bravo was a party to it, they’re just as bad – but worse is rewarding such bad behavior with a nice fat reality TV program, which is just what Miss Reckless wants. I will not condone or promote a network that gives someone like this another second of publicity. “Media whore” doesn’t even begin to describe it. A line was crossed here, and Bravo needs to make a statement that they understand it was wrong.
“Oasis Winery filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February of this year, according to U.S. Bankruptcy Court records in the Eastern District of Virginia. Tareq Salahi is listed as company president in the filing. Listed creditors include the IRS, Fauquier County, the state of Virginia, several banks and American Express Corp., among others. JAIL. That’s where these two need to go right now. At the least trespassing upon government property.
And the Secret Service shows how well they are guarding the President. WTG! IDIOTS… all of them.
Yeah I’m from DC born and raised and I can definitely say these two lames don’t represent my people. Furthermore the lady michaele or whatev her name is claims to be an ex cheerleader for the redskins. The redskins organization has come out an said they have no idea who she is and have no record of her lol
I’m a huge fan of the whole Housewives franchise, but I’m staunchly boycotting the housewives of DC. Shameful isn’t even the word. I cannot believe two people would do something like that in light of the confirmed credible threats against the President. Unbelievable. All for 15 (oh how I hope it’s not even that long) minutes of fame. Total trash.
Oh man! I was so looking forward to the DC series. I lived in DC for awhile and love the area. This is going to cause some problems for the series. I bet Bravo won’t be permitted to air that portion of the series.
Well it seems that these Two Winners are peddling the story for sell to the various media outlets that serve the fame-hos’. This was obviously done as a stunt to make money on the talk show circuit (and before someone tells me the shows don’t pay – yes they do – they pay not for interviews but for photos, videos. etc… and that is how they supposedly keep their journalism integrity – HA NOT!)
The LKL interview was a no-show (and he has had many fame-ho’s on his show such as the stupid Goseelin parents, another reality show that should never have happened).
As a former newspaper reporter, I can tell you right now, casual “press” walking in with cameras at the White House would NO WAY be allowed so the Secret Service was SNOOZING…. You need a special pass and invite as a member of the media to go to such an event.
I am a dedicated fan of the Real Housewives series and was looking forward to the D.C. installation. However, I will be utterly disappointed and boycotting watching it if this obnoxious couple is a part of it. Their outlandish behavior should not be rewarded with more fame (they have already received toooo much airtime this past weekend for their shameful behavior). We need to stop encouraging this type of behavior as it is only an indication of what is to come from desperate people vying for a reality show role. Bravo needs to show they neither condone or encourage these types of actions. Please listen to your fans and keep these people off the show!!!!!!

37000feet thanks for the article. It was dead on for D.C.! No one in the Hill circles could/would get invoved in RHOC because it would be career suicide for them. That’s why Bravo had to move to the socialite crowd.

I and I know many others have no intention of watching the Bravo show if Bravo puts these drama seeking Salahi people on the show.The inappropriate behavior of this couple is clearly grandstanding ploy for publicity but it has back fired on them with public opinion. No show Bravo puts on will be anything to do with reality if Bravo puts these people on it. These people need to go hide under the rock they crawled out of and Bravo needs to help them do that by not having them on their show.
