Tabatha Gets A Room Full Of Criers On Tonight’s Takeover
November 17, 2009 by Maria Diaz
After last week’s episode of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, where Tabatha took over a salon run by a 21 year old who was not a stylist and who strangely said “my word is my balls” I was happy to see tonight’s episode wouldn’t have any kids playing salon owner. No wonder the economy is tanked; at some point a real bank gave that kid a loan. Insane.
On tonight’s Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, Tabs visits her very first African-American hair salon. I’m glad they’re finally having Tabatha visit one, it’s a very different kind of salon than the kind she normally visits and I’m interested to see how the dynamic plays out. I’m also curious about what kind of experience Tabatha has with African-American hair. It looks like this gang is very emotional, like Orbit Salon two weeks ago. Tabatha has a fake “foreclosure” sign on the salon in order to get the owner to reveal she’s had to file personal bankruptcy. The stylists all have a very emotional reaction:

That guy from last week was UNBEARABLE. That “my word is my balls” was such a classically insane reality TV quote. I really, really like this show, it is surprisingly compelling.
