Tabatha’s Salon Takeover: “I Hate Crying”
Tabatha Coffey is a strong woman with an assertive attitude. (That does not classify her as being anything other than strong and assertive, mind you!) But her new series “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover” on Bravo hit the ground running with a great deal of whining, crying and dramatic moments… NONE of which had anything to do with Tabatha’s emotions.
In Takeover, there’s really no time for yammering or sniveling. Just get the job done and get the salon back in business!
“It needs to be an experience,” Tabatha explains about each customer visiting a salon. In the premiere episode, TEN is a failing business that is barely hanging on - to the point where the salon owners are tens of thousands of dollars in debt and have only a $6.00 budget for food -to share between the two of them. The house has been mortgaged several times and it’s just a financial fiasco. The doors are one split end away from being closed forever and they could lose absolutely everything.
So in steps Ms. Coffey -with attitude, style and no time for silly smirks or whining from the staff. “Why are you crying?” she boldly asks one of the stylists after learning that the salon was under surveillance all day.
One thing that Tabatha abhors: crying. Looks like Hair Majesty Tabatha better get used to the emotional roller coaster rides she’s in charge of - because there’s a lot of tears to go with those shears! But please don’t get all red and blotchy like this example:

Firstly… I love Tab. She cut my hair for several years in NJ before I moved to CA.
Second… peoploe ask me is she is just putting on an act for the TV. No way… she was always VERY passionate about her clients and the service they received.
She is truely “one of a kind” and I still miss her.
