“Top Chef” Contestants Don’t Realize They’re Already On Television [Video]

In the following clip from tonight’s episode of Top Chef, the contestants freak out over their elimination challenge, which is introducing themselves and their cooking on television. I wonder if they realize the camera they’re talking into is recording them and the words they are saying are also going to be broadcast to millions of people. The lack of self awareness on reality television has got to go. From the sounds of this clip however, it looks like they had reason to freak out.
After the jump, check out another sneak preview of tonight’s episode, where the contestants have to make a breakfast snack (or amuse bouche) for Padma and guest judge Rocco DiSipirito. Naturally, Fabio starts in on how Rocco isn’t Italian and Jaime begins to worry about having to cook breakfast, since she “doesn’t eat it”.
